William Spargur, Owner
Welcome! I want to personally welcome you to Spargur Tax & Accounting, where we strive to provide the highest quality service for our clients. I am William Spargur and it is my pleasure to assist you in getting organized and meeting your financial goals.  I’m originally from Indiana where I graduated with a business degree from Purdue University. I have since obtained an MBA in Accounting & Taxation from Jones International University.  I am licensed as an Enrolled Agent (Enrollment #93280) and am able to represent you to the IRS in any matters that may come up from time to time. In order to maintain this privilege I must adhere to strict compliance guidelines set forth by the IRS as well as earn 24 hours of continuing education every year.  What this all means is that I take the responsibility of preparing your taxes and how that impacts you and your family very seriously.

What We Do

Spargur Tax & Accounting provides accounting for both individuals and businesses. We process over 400 tax returns annually and serve hundreds of individuals and businesses. In addition, we provide payroll consulting and bookkeeping to businesses and corporations. We’re local to Southwest Florida and we’re proud of it. We are not a chain. We are an independently owned business and we pride ourselves on our customer service.

Vision – We strive to make your experience comfortable and predictable. One of the main reasons I opened Spargur Tax & Accounting was because I know how difficult it can be to find a good accountant with your best interests in mind.  I strive to ensure that each and every customer receives the information they need in a timely manner, and that every question they have is thoroughly answered. Customer service is our top priority and it is a highly collaborative process. We empower our clients with the facts and we work with them as a team. We don’t just direct people, we provide all the options and then suggest a possible best choice. My vision is that every one of my customers has the peace of mind that comes with knowing exactly where they are at financially.

Personal Commitment –  At Spargur Tax & Accounting, we take the time to get to know our clients. Your goals and objectives are important to us. We take the time to learn about you and your situation before suggesting alternatives. We value our relationships. Most of our clients have been with us for many years. And, we are open year round, which makes us available long after tax season.
Credentials – I completed a BS in Business Management from Purdue University in 1998 and an MBA in Accounting & Taxation from Jones International University in 2010. I am also an Enrolled Agent. An Enrolled Agent is someone “enrolled” by the IRS via a series of tests not unlike a CPA test.  My enrollment #93280 was obtained in 2009. An enrolled agent is allowed to represent clients directly to the IRS via letters or phone calls, eliminating the client’s need to write their own letters or try to resolve something on their own.  In order to maintain this I complete 24 hours of continuing education every year in order to keep current.
