Important change for 2025–2026: The IRS stopped creating new individual EFTPS accounts on October 17, 2025. If you haven't enrolled in EFTPS, use IRS Direct Pay or create an IRS Online Account instead. Existing EFTPS users may continue, but transition is encouraged. Paper refund checks were discontinued September 30, 2025 — if you haven't provided direct deposit info, do it now to avoid a 6+ week delay.

Paying by card or PayPal? The IRS also accepts credit/debit cards and digital wallets (PayPal, Venmo, Click to Pay) at irs.gov/payments — but a processing fee of ~1.85–1.98% applies. Cards can be worth it if you earn 2%+ cash back rewards. Prefer cash? Use VanillaDirect — generate a barcode at irs.gov and pay at CVS, Walmart, or 7-Eleven.

Florida has no state estimated tax for individuals — Florida has no individual income tax. If you have a Florida business with corporate income tax, those estimated payments are due April 30, June 30, September 30, and December 31.
