Florida business taxes

Florida has no personal income tax, but a Florida business still has state returns to file. I prepare and file them and keep them on schedule, so a late notice never comes as a surprise.

What I file and keep on schedule

Florida Department of Revenue

  • Sales and use tax returns (Form DR-15), on the schedule Florida assigns you
  • Reemployment tax (Form RT-6) every quarter, filed with payroll by our payroll service
  • Florida corporate income tax (Form F-1120) for C corporations
  • Registering for sales tax and reemployment tax when the business needs them
  • Department of Revenue notices and audits

The county and Sunbiz

  • The tangible personal property return (Form DR-405), due April 1 to your county property appraiser, for the business's furniture, fixtures and equipment
  • A reminder before the Sunbiz annual report is due on May 1
  • The annual report filed for you each year when I'm your registered agent

The due dates

Florida business tax due dates
ReturnDue

When a due date falls on a weekend or a holiday, it moves to the next business day.

What it costs

Ask for a quote. The price depends on which returns the business files and how often, and I quote it before I begin. Registered agent service, with the annual report filed for you, is on the fee schedule.
